OUR GOAL, TASK AND STRATEGY
CCTI's goal is to bring healing and hope to children in crisis through training caregivers to effectively and compassionately meet the children's needs.
To accomplish this goal CCTI is:
- Creating a network of trainers
- Producing "The Barnabas Letter," a training newsletter
- Generating training materials
- Developing a training resources catalog
- Forming a pool of trainers from which to draw when the need arises
- Conducting or facilitating training seminars
- Working toward establishing an inter-mission/-organization training center available to all engaged in children-in-crisis ministry. The center will include a research library and offer for-credit college courses.
CCTI’s Strategy
CCTI seeks to train and resource workers for children and families in crisis situations. Strategies to accomplish this plan include:
- Building awareness of global crisis situations which impact children and families and the subsequent ministry opportunities
- Raising up and equipping child advocates
- Project and team leadership training
- Training long-term, short-term and rapid response workers to plan and initiate prevention and intervention strategies and programs
- Providing opportunities for crisis care workers to receive continuing education
- Developing resources including curriculum materials, books, a training newsletter
